Acrylic Manufacturing : Saw blade V-groove over 90 ° and over 96 °
With our high-performance saw blades with a point angle of over 90° and over 96°, you can saw V-grooves with dimensionally accurate repeatability in your production. The main areas of application are: box gluing with the folding technique, and short-leg folding. In some cases, where a very sharp edged edge is required (short leg length - no sword or banana effect), the following method must be used: At the point where the acrylic glass pane is to be bent, a V-groove is sawn with the high-performance saw blade 90°, then heated and bent. With this procedure you can also produce straight-line angle bonds for e.g. light boxes by sawing the panels down to 0.3 mm with 90° (coloured boxes) and fixing them on the back of the panels with a special adhesive tape (compatibility with the adhesive, Art. No. 01030012/G25 or 01030012/G50). After fixing with the special adhesive tape, the plate is broken (remove corner areas) and the light box is aligned in a prism and glued with a solvent adhesive. For transparent material it is recommended to work with the high-performance saw blade from a point angle of more than 96°. Due to the adhesive gap, the polymerization adhesive can be applied bubble-free with an adhesive bottle. After curing, the special adhesive tape is removed.
